CAUSE THE SUN'S SHININGWE'RE GONNA RISELIKE NO OTHER
Glad that the weekend finally had begun, Tinsley lay in her white, strapless bikini in the warm sand at the beach. Her beach. Some little kids were playing with eachother in the blue ocean. The sun was getting warmer, she should go swimming to. But not alone, in a few minutes some of her friends will be here too. Then she would go swimming.
She putted her head phones on her head and searched for her pink Ipod touch in her XL beach bag. When she found it she turned it on. The sound of Beyoncés voice pumped inside her head. She sang along with the lyrics, so soft that nobody could hear her except Tinsley herself. She loved music. She always listens to music wherever she goes. She sang along louder now, what does it matter when someone would hear her? She has a pretty good voice.

Ashton sat on the sand in black swim shorts which came down to just above his knee's. propped up by his elbows he watched the waves gently move about as people played in the ocean, they looked like the were having fun; however Ashton had far better things to do than make a fool of himself by splashing around in the water like a kid. He leant back at let the sun immerse him in it's heat, a small smile spread across his lips as he closed his eyes... But then remembered he was wearing sun glasses, the thought of being burnt on his face was un-tolerable and he sat back up. Just as he did so, he turned and saw ‘The Queen’. He lowered his head and looked over the rim of his aviators to get a better look, it was her alright. Ashton raised his eyebrows, trying to rack his brain at whether she knew him? Question was why should she? He certainly never invited her to any of his house parties and if he did, he couldn't recall doing so... But she was alone. Which was unexpected, he turned back and looked at the ocean; though still his mind was on the girl. Obviously she was waiting for people, this was the most popular person he knew and as a popular guy (when he wasn't pissing anybody off) he knew that people like him, they just didn't hang around alone.
Thoughtfully gazing, he looked back again, still alone. She was listening to music, which meant he probably shouldn't disturb her, but then again... Why on earth was he going to all this trouble over one popular girl? Maybe she'd be worth the conversation...
Ashton decided to play it safe, go for the typical thing to do. Getting up onto his feat, he confidently went and brought two ice-creams then towards Tinsley. "Hey." He spoke in his commercialised Scottish accent... It was still there, but not half as gruff as it would have been; it was more trained, softer, kinder. "D'you want an ice-cream? Since I have two and you don't have any...I thought you might like one?" Ashton's smile returned to his face, though still confined; no one wanted to smile like a bumbling idiot after all.

CAUSE THE SUN'S SHININGWE'RE GONNA RISELIKE NO OTHER
The song ended and Tinsley searched for another song she wanted to hear quickly before her friends came. “You would not believe your eyes... If tenmillion fireflies...” She whispered when Owlcity bumped in her head. She liked the song, allthough Whitney said that it wasn’t about anything. What did Whitney know? A song about completely nothing but fireflies and dreaming is just relaxing. Especially on the beach.
Suddenly a guy stood up who laid before her. Tinsley did see him looking at her a few times, but there were more people who looked at her often. It was kind off interesting to see him actually walking towards her. With ice-creams. It was obvious that he would give one of them to her. This guy seemed to know exactly what she wanted. She turned the volume of her music down and looked a little better at him as he got closer to her. She did knew him a little. He lived in SB too. Rich.
"Hey." The guy said with a little Scottish accent. Tinsley thought that was kind off cute and smiled friendly. She took her headphones off and waited. "D'you want an ice-cream? Since I have two and you don't have any...I thought you might like one?" He said and smiled. Tinsley smiled wide now, it was kind off obvious that he had two ice-creams, but she wouldn’t bother him with her weird sense of humour. “Well how nice of you!” Tinsley said and she made some room on her towel, so the guy could sit down. “I’m Tinsley Madison, why don’t I know you?” She asked smiling.

The friendly welcoming made Ashton relax a little, it wasn’t that he was particularly nervous about the situation, but if ever there was a point in his life where he had to meet someone new; let alone make a good impression, he always had a heavy weight on his shoulders to do a good job… probably something his folks had drilled into him from an early age. But then again it wasn’t everyday he had to introduce himself to one of the most popular girls around. Sitting down carefully and managing to keep the ice-creams safe and not make a fool of himself he finally replied “It’s very nice to meet you Tinsley.” A little shocked that he meant it too, if there was one decent thing his parents DID teach him… It was manners, which he was grateful of having, it meant he could speak to anyone and lie about how it was ‘a pleasure to meet them.’ He wouldn’t be able to get out of the situations he got himself into without good etiquette. But this time, this time is was the truth. Then the question he had half been waiting for arose. Ashton raised his eyebrows and looked up “don’t know me?” A crooked smile crept up on him as he squinted into the distance, thinking for a second or two “maybe we’ve never been at the right place at the right time?” Glancing back up he gave a reassuring smile “we both must lead pretty busy lives I imagine.” He held out one of the ice-creams for her to take.

The guy didn’t answer her immediatly, which made Tinsley curious. He sat down carefully, not dropping the ice-creams. It did look kind off cute, but Tinsley didn’t laugh at him. “It’s very nice to meet you Tinsley.” He said with his scottish accent and he really seemed to mean it. Tinsley couldn’t help smiling. Still the guy didn’t tell her who he was. So Tinsley didn’t say anything. “don’t know me? maybe we’ve never been at the right place at the right time? we both must lead pretty busy lives I imagine.” He said and smiled. Tinsley laughed. Sure her live was pretty busy, it was good to finally meet someone who understood that. “Maybe!” Tinsley said and smiled. “It’s not that I don’t know you at all, I have seen you around but, never spoke with you or something.” She smiled friendly, ‘cause she didn’t want to make the impression of an ‘everybody knows me, but I don’t know them’ girl. It didn’t matter that she actually is a little like that. . “It’s just that I don’t know who you are.” She said. Tinsley isn’t a real ‘everybody knows me, but I don’t know them’ girl, because if she don’t know someone she asks Withney if she knows them. But Withney didn’t know him eather. So she did try. She took the ice-cream, licked it, so it wouldn’t melt and then waited for the guy to answer.

Ashton looked at the melting ice-cream in his hand, in no great hurry to eat it. He listened carefully, not wanting the conversation to go horribly wrong where it goes in one ear and out the other… It was something which happened all too often, pretty girls, pretty faces, dead boring talkers. But then he’d get caught out when they’d ask a question like ‘so are you interested in helping against animal cruelty?’ and all they’d get in reply was “sometimes.” However, this was different. There weren’t a great many of occasions where he’d initially introduce himself, partly for the fun of it and then partly for the fact he detested having any connection with his step-father and the well known family name. “Well we should probably solve the mystery problem, my names Ashton Branner.” He said crisply, as if the words had never been spoken before. Scratching the back of his head, he then ruffled the rest of his hair, sweeping it to the side. Today he’d gone to the trouble of not letting it be it’s un-ruly self. “So…” He pretended to not know what to say before looking back up “enjoying your day so far?”

“Well we should probably solve the mystery problem, my names Ashton Branner.” When he finally said his name Tinsley laughed. Mystery and still was his name so familiar. Must be some family in Sunset Beach where her parents are talking about sometimes at dinner. The Madison family lived in Sunset for a long time. Even before Sunset Pier was there. Tinsley heard that story a lot when she was a little child, like it was some kind off fairy tale. “Well, nice tot meet you too mr. Banner!” She said giggling.
Ashton didn’t seem to care that his ice-cream was melting. Too bad, Tinsley loves ce-cream. “So... enjoying your day so far?” . He said and he seemed like he didn’t know anything else to say. Tinsley licked her ice-cream again, thinking. “Well, I went to the beach and listened to music while I was waiting for my friends... And then a guy with a cute accent came up giving me my favorite ice-cream. ” Tinsley said smiling then pretended like she was thinking again. “So yeah, I think my day has been okay so far.” She said giggling again and looked at Ashton again. “What about yours?” She looked at his ice-cream again. It was still melting. “You know that your ice-cream is melting?” She said half-smiling.

“Well, I went to the beach and listened to music while I was waiting for my friends... And then a guy with a cute accent came up giving me my favorite ice-cream. ”Ashton listened intently before raising his eyebrows and smirking “ah the cute accent.” He replied “I heard it’s quite popular, I guess he must be one lucky guy to be blessed with such a thing.” He nodded in agreement with his self mocking, something he was never serious about. “and your favourite? He must be a well diverse chap to be able to not only bring you an ice-cream but your most preferred one too.” “You know that your ice-cream is melting?”Caught up in the conversation, which on most occasions wouldn’t be captivating at all… He really hadn’t paid much attention to the ice-cream, after all it was just a play it safe card to start talking to the most popular girl he knew. Admittedly he wasn’t quite expecting having such a nice time. After she mentioned it however, Ashton quickly glanced down, his eyes widening as each melting droplet of cream cascaded down the side of the cone. “Oh-” stopping himself cursing “wonderful.” He gave a grimaced look before licking the side, his eyes met hers and he drew back with a grin “this is terrible, I do apologise.” Ashton laughed lightly before trying to catch the rest of the drips.

Tinsley allready laughed before Ashton commented on what she said about the cute accent, she just couldn’t help it. He must hear it almost everyday. “ah the cute accent. I heard it’s quite popular, I guess he must be one lucky guy to be blessed with such a thing.” He said nodding. His voice sounded sarcastic and Tinsley giggled. “I’m sorry!” She said laughing. “I just couldn’t help saying something about it, sorry.” Tinsley said. “and your favourite? He must be a well diverse chap to be able to not only bring you an ice-cream but your most preferred one too.” Tinsley couldn’t help laughing again. “Yeah, that chap must be really good. Except for the fact that he let melt half of his ice-cream. That’s a shame!” She said and laughed. “Just kidding.” She said, smiled and looked at Ashton again. “Oh- wonderful. this is terrible, I do apologise.” He said and Tinsley could tell he wanted to curse before he tried to catch the rest of the drips. “Doesn’t matter. So, your name sounds really familiar, your family lives here for a long time?” Tinsley said smiling, trying to catch his eyes.

Ashton stopped catching the drips, partly because there were none left to catch and also because he didn't want to look stupid. “I just couldn’t help saying something about it, sorry.”"It's alright" he replied "I mean, yeah I get it all the time but... I could easily put on an American accent, but then I wouldn't be any different from all the other guys round here." “So, your name sounds really familiar, your family lives here for a long time?” Ashton had been half expecting this question, he pursed his lips a bit and swayed his head a bit before finally looking at her "It's a bit embarrassing..." he started, glancing down at the sand. He sighed and realised that she'd find out sooner or later and met her eyes "he's not my real dad so I don't really like to admit it, but my father owns a series of holidays resorts. It's cheesy and horrible but you’ve probably heard the name from 'Branners Best.'" Ashton waited anxiously for laughing to come, he was used to it, though usually he could handle those sort of situations; he'd crack a joke back at their expense... But this time he didn't want to.

Tinsley watched the little children playing in the sea. "It's alright. I mean, yeah I get it all the time but... I could easily put on an American accent, but then I wouldn't be any different from all the other guys round here." She nodded on what Ashton said about his Scottish accent. It was totally true what he said. All the guys were... so the same here. She looked at Ashton again. “Yeah. And I think girls will notice you much more easier right?” She said half smiling. Once, when Tinsley was a freshman, there was a guy with a spanish accent who was driving all the girls crazy. Turned out that he totally faked the accent. Tinsley giggled by the thought of it. “"It's a bit embarrassing..."” Ashton started when Tinsley asked about his familiar name. She could tell that he really was a little insecure about. Tinsley always felt so sorry for people when they felt insecure, she didn't know why. "he's not my real dad so I don't really like to admit it, but my father owns a series of holidays resorts. It's cheesy and horrible but you’ve probably heard the name from 'Branners Best.'" Ashton said and it seemed like he was waiting for Tinsley to stand up and scream it across the beach, pointing to him. So Tinsley only smiled at him.“Well, that will possibly explain a lot yeah.” She said friendly, not wanted Ashton to feel embarresed. “I actually thought that I heard my parents gossiping about your family or something, like they always do about everyone.” Tinsley said and rolled her eyes, so he could she she didn't like her parents doing that.
